High-quality vintage barley shochu "Batsugun" (1984)
This product is an aged barley shochu made from the extremely rare domestic vintage "Bachi, a genuine barley shochu genshu produced in 1984 (made by Bachi Shuzo in Kumamoto Prefecture)," which has been aged for over 40 years.
This brand won a silver medal in the Japanese Distilled Spirits category at the 16th Feminalise World Wine Competition 2022.
Although the undiluted sake has an alcohol content of 38%, you will be surprised at how sweet it is when you first taste it. Thanks to the extremely long maturation period, the rich flavor of the undiluted sake has been transformed into a full-bodied flavor and aroma, giving it a mellow taste.

Kuma Shochu, a globally recognized geographical indication, is characterized by the use of rice, which is more expensive than other shochu ingredients. In the 500-year history of Kuma Shochu, this outstanding brewery was founded relatively recently. This young brewery once took on the challenge of making barley shochu using atmospheric distillation.
