Introducing our brand

Vintage gifts that bring back memories of loved ones
Kosoki no Biju is a brand that only carries domestic vintage wines that have been aged for over 10 years, making them extremely rare.
The deep flavor that develops through long-term aging is completely different from that of new sake, and not only will it impress alcohol lovers, but it will also be delicious for those who don't usually drink alcohol.
Vintage sake, which is imbued with the weight of time, is the perfect special gift for a turning point in life. The label will show the year of brewing and production. Why not give the gift of a fun time reminiscing about old memories along with some delicious vintage sake?

Traditional Japanese aged sake used by the Imperial family
From the Kamakura period through to the Edo period, aged sake was a luxury item that was highly valued for imperial wedding ceremonies and as a lucky charm for people of high status.
This is a valuable sake that is perfect as a gift on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, mid-year and year-end gifts, wedding gifts, and retirement gifts for loved ones.

It is rare, making up only 0.001% of new sake production.
Aged sake is a traditional part of Japanese alcohol culture, but over time the number of sake breweries that produce aged sake has decreased significantly.
In order to revive the culture of aged sake, this brand travels around sake breweries across the country to carefully select only sake with excellent, mellow aromas and flavors that have been aged for at least 10 years.
The aged sake we carefully select is extremely rare and highly valued, accounting for only 0.001% of the total new sake production.

Introduced in Michelin-starred restaurants and hotels
Among the brands handled by Kokoshi no Bishu are some that are served in Michelin-starred restaurants and major foreign-affiliated hotels, and have earned high praise.
Aged sake has a complex flavor not found in new sake, which makes it easy to pair with a wide variety of cuisine, including not only Japanese food, but also French, Chinese, and Italian cuisine, as well as dairy products and chocolate.

Won gold medals in numerous domestic and international competitions
In just three years, it has won 24 awards at six international competitions in five countries, and is highly regarded by alcohol experts for its delicious taste and aroma.
- 18th Feminalise World Wine Competition 2024 Gold Award [4th consecutive year winner]
- Kura Master 2024 Platinum Award & Gold Award [Awarded for 3 consecutive years]
- International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2024 Gold Award (3rd consecutive year) and more

A set of two premium vintage sakes (1999 and 2004) for comparing different brands: "Mansai"

This product, "Kosoki no Banzai," is a set of selected high-vintage sakes that exude a sweet and gorgeous aroma of aged sake.

Brewed in 1999 by Narimasa
This Gohyakumangoku sake has been aged for over 20 years and is characterized by its light flavor. It has a sweet and gorgeous aged aroma reminiscent of honey and black tea, and a rich flavor with a mellow sweetness and a hint of bitterness. It has a refreshing dry taste with a firm acidity.
Brewery: Narimasa Shuzo, founded in 1894, Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture
This small brewery in the Hokuriku region uses rice suitable for sake brewing, grown locally in Nanto City, and brews sake with the famous water from the lush green Mt. Iozan, called "Yari no Saki no Mizu." It is said that this brewing water was used when the warlord Sassa Narimasa, whose name the brewery takes its name from, sought water and struck the ground with a spear, which caused the water to spring forth and help him escape disaster. The rice is also grown with this water.

Brewed in 2004 Kitanosho
This Junmai Ginjo sake is made from Yamadanishiki and Gohyakumangoku rice from Fukui Prefecture, polished to 55%, and aged at a constant temperature of 13°C for over 20 years. It has a mellow, sweet aroma like ripe pears mixed with the refreshing aroma of spices like cardamom.
Brewery: Funaki Sake Brewery, founded in 1866, Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture
Funaki Sake Brewery uses underground water from the Kuzuryu River, which flows from Mt. Hakusan, a famous mountain in the Hokuriku region, as its brewing water. The brewery is surrounded by rice fields, and the fertile fields produce high-quality rice, such as Gohyakumangoku, which is suitable for sake brewing. Every year, they brew small batches of sake by hand, mainly pure rice sake, and create beautiful sake that pairs well with food.
