Sommelier's comment
This aged sake is characterized by the sweetness of the rice, which is characteristic of this brewery. It has a deep buttery aroma, a sweet cotton candy aroma, and a slightly voluminous taste.
Brewed by: Shirakawa Meijo
Founded in 1850 Saigo Village, Fukushima Prefecture
Saigo Village, located at the northern foot of the Nasu Plateau, is a resort area with a strong image due to its imperial mansion, and is an environment suitable for sake brewing due to its rich nature. This 170-year-old brewery uses underground water from the Nasu Mountain Range and local rice grown in that water, and uses advanced pasteurization (flavor preservation) techniques to brew aromatic and full-bodied sake.
