Sommelier's comment
The 2005 unblended sake is blended with the 2003 unblended sake. Made by this company that has mastered blending techniques, this shochu has a sweet aroma typical of brown sugar shochu, a rich tea-like aroma, a slightly spicy taste, and a smoky aftertaste, making it pleasant to drink.
Brewery: Oki Sake Brewery
Founded in 1917 Wadomari Town, Okinoerabu Island, Kagoshima Prefecture
This is a product of Okinoerabu Sake Brewery, a bottling processing and sales company jointly established by four small sake breweries on a small island. One of the breweries, Oki Sake Brewery, is the oldest sake brewery on the island with the ``Erabu'' brand. Handcrafted by a husband and wife team, they carefully brew, distill and refine their blending techniques.
