"Koshu" Sake to Be Offered for the First Time on All ANA International First Class Flights

Koseki no Bishu "INISHIE Takumi No.1 -Doux-" to be Available from December 1st

Shoso Co., Ltd. (Head office: Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture; Representative Director: Akihiko Yasumura), a Pasona Group company, announces that their blended aged sake "INISHIE Takumi No. 1 -Doux-" from the long-aged sake brand "INISHIE no BISHU" will be offered as sake for in-flight service on all ANA international first-class flights, exclusively in December 2025.

Notably, this marks the first time that "koshu" (aged sake) will be featured in ANA First Class.

Sake, a Japanese alcoholic beverage, has become widely popular both in Japan and internationally in recent years, but the type generally enjoyed is primarily "new sake."

Meanwhile, "aged sake," which once played an important role in Japanese drinking culture, has seen its production decline over time.

However, "aged sake" possesses a unique appeal that new sake lacks, such as a profound umami, rich aroma, and complex flavor, all born from long years of maturation.

Amidst this, Takumiso Co., Ltd. launched the premium brand "Koseki no Bishu" in 2020, featuring only vintage sake aged for 10 years or more, carefully selected from sake breweries across Japan.

Furthermore, in 2023, the company established Japan's first sake brewery specializing in aged sake in collaboration with ten breweries nationwide. By engaging in aged sake storage and cross-brewery blend development, Takumiso aims to resolve management challenges faced by sake breweries and revive the culture of aged sake.

This time, "INISHIE Takumi No.1 -Doux-" was selected as the first aged sake to be offered as part of ANA First Class in-flight service.

Through this selection, we aim to create opportunities for many people, both in Japan and abroad, to experience the new appeal of aged sake.

Moving forward, Takumi Sousei will continue to deliver the value of aged sake both domestically and internationally, contributing to the further development of Japan's sake culture through the popularization and expansion of the new genre of "aged sake," and together with sake breweries, we will forge the future of Japan's traditional sake culture.

By carefully layering the unique characteristics woven from three different periods, a rich, harmonious sweetness unique to aged sake is born.
