This is a sake event where you can enjoy the feeling of traveling to the birthplace of a sake brewery that was crowned "Champion Sake" at the SAKE category of the "IWC (International Wine Challenge)" held every year in London.
The event will feature 20 notable breweries from across Hyogo Prefecture, one of Japan's leading sake-producing regions, including Miyabijin Sake Brewery in Minami-Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture, which was selected as the 2024 IWC Champion Sake in the SAKE category.
About IWC
The IWC (International Wine Challenge) is the world's largest wine competition, founded in London in 1984.
The "SAKE Division" was established in 2007 to evaluate Japanese sake, and every year many breweries submit their entries, attracting attention from the winning sakes.
In 2024, 1,504 brands were entered in the "SAKE" category, and from there the highest award in the SAKE category, "Champion Sake," was selected.
