Introducing our brand

Vintage gifts that bring back memories of loved ones

Furu Kokushi no Biju is a brand that aims to only sell domestic vintage wines that have been aged for over 10 years, making them extremely rare.

The deep flavor that develops through long-term aging is completely different from that of new sake, and not only will it receive praise from alcohol lovers, but it can also be enjoyed by those who don't usually drink alcohol.

Vintage sake, which is imbued with the weight of time, is the perfect special gift for a turning point in life. The label lists the brewing year and production year. Why not give the gift of a fun time to talk about it?

Traditional Japanese aged sake that has been used many times

From the Kamakura period through to the Edo period, aged sake was a luxury item that was highly valued for wedding ceremonies and as a lucky charm by people of noble thought.

This is a valuable sake that is perfect as a gift on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, mid-year and year-end gifts, wedding gifts, and retirement gifts for loved ones.

It is rare, making up only 0.001% of new sake production.

Aged sake is a traditional part of Japanese alcohol culture, but over time the number of sake breweries that produce aged sake has decreased significantly.

In order to revive the culture of aged sake, this brand travels around sake breweries across the country to carefully select only sake with excellent, mellow aromas and flavors that have been aged for a general period of 10 years or more.

The aged sake we carefully select is extremely rare and highly valued, accounting for only 0.001% of the total new sake production.

It has been introduced in Michelin-starred restaurants and hotels.

Some of the finest brands of old-fashioned sake are served in Michelin-starred restaurants and major foreign hotels, and have earned high praise.

Aged sake has a complex flavor not found in new sake, which makes it easy to pair with a wide variety of cuisine, including not only Japanese food, but also French, Chinese, and Italian cuisine, as well as dairy products and chocolate.

Won gold medals in numerous domestic and international competitions

In just three years, it has won 24 awards at six international competitions in five countries, and is highly regarded by alcohol experts for its delicious taste and aroma.

  • 18th Feminalise World Wine Competition 2024 Gold Award [4th consecutive year winner]
  • Kura Master 2024 Platinum Award & Gold Award [Awarded for 3 consecutive years]
  • International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2024 Gold Award (3rd consecutive year) and more

A tasting set of three premium vintage sakes (1995, 2001, 2013) "Kiwami"

This product, "Kiwame," comes in three different brands and vintages: 1995, 2001, and 2013.

You can enjoy a luxurious moment while feeling the beauty and flavor of the finest sake, brewed and aged using the traditional techniques and painstaking craftsmanship of the artisans of that time. *This product was renewed in 2024.

Brewed in 1995 Aoikaku

This is a shokunin aged sake that is made by carefully brewing pure rice sake for aging, storing it at low temperature, and then aging it at room temperature. It has a sweet, gorgeous, fragrant aroma of honey and almonds, and a mellow sweetness.

Brewery: Inami Shuzo, founded in 1889, Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture
Hyogo Prefecture is the home of Yamada-Nishiki, the king of sake rice. The mineral-rich, sticky soil and climate with large temperature differences have cultivated the ideal sake rice. Wherever sake rice is produced, there is a sake brewery. Inami, a sake brewery located in a major Yamada-Nishiki production area, aims to brew terroir sake in the local climate.

Brewed in 2001 Ten'on

This brewery's pride and joy, this honjozo aged sake. The vanilla-like aroma matches the sweetness, evoking notes of chestnuts and bananas. You can also feel the subtle aroma of the Hida forest and the bitterness of the Hida Homare sake rice, making this a complex and deep aged sake.

Brewery: Kawajiri Sake Brewery, founded in 1839, Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture
Kawajiri Sake Brewery is a very unique sake brewery. Because of its very small production volume, it is difficult to distribute and can only be purchased locally in Hida Takayama. Kawajiri sake, brewed using traditional methods, has a rough taste when new, and it is only by aging for a long time that the true essence of the mellow sake emerges.

Brewed in 2013 Tamagawa

This is a delicious, matured aged sake that has a rich aroma of various spices and a fragrant scent reminiscent of caramel and hazelnuts, and the contrast between its solid sweetness and pleasant bitterness gives it a deep flavor.

Brewery: Kinoshita Sake Brewery, founded in 1845, Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture
Kinoshita Sake Brewery is run by British brewer Harper. With their rich imagination and challenging sake brewing, they look forward to attracting new fans. Tamagawa's main theme is aging, and they value the mysterious process of change that occurs from new sake, working hard every day to brew sake that will deeply impress customers across the five senses and time axis.
