2009 Umeshu Bunzo
Plum wine (liqueur)
Main ingredients: Rice shochu, plums, rock sugar Alcohol content: 17 degrees, stored in tank at room temperature
Sommelier comment
The refreshing scent of ripe plums and the sweetness of apricot kernels melt in your mouth and are very pleasant. Rather than being fruity, you can feel the freshness and depth,
A mellow, flavorful type with a low alcohol taste and a long aftertaste.
Brewed by: Kinoshita Brewery Founded in 1862 Taragi Town, Kumamoto Prefecture
Kinoshita Brewery is located in Taragi Town, in the upper reaches of the clear Kuma River that runs through the Hitoyoshi Basin. At the same location since its founding, the company has stuck to traditional manufacturing methods and aims to produce shochu with a unique aroma and richness. ``Taragi no Bunzojii,'' which is also sung in a folk song, uses the company's founder's name ``Bunzo'' as the brand name of its products.
