Sommelier's comments

It has a smooth mouthfeel that doesn't make you feel the high alcohol content of 20%, and is a well-balanced, soft-tasting matured sake with firm acidity and umami. It has a rich, complex aroma of tropical fruits, rose, and nutmeg.

Kawajiri Sake Brewery is a very unique sake brewery. Because of its very small production volume, it is difficult to distribute and can only be purchased locally in Hida Takayama. The brewery specializes in aged sake. Kawajiri sake, brewed using traditional methods, has a rough taste when it is new, but it is only after it has been aged for a long time that the true essence of the mellow sake emerges.
