Sommelier's comments
This pure rice sake has been aged for 24 years in a 100-year-old storehouse. It has a gentle aroma reminiscent of ripe bananas and a floral, gorgeous scent. It has a good balance of gentle sweetness and firm acidity, making it a deep flavor.
Brewery: Kamaya
Founded in 1748, Kamaya has been brewing sake for 270 years in the heart of the Kanto Plain in Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture. Taking advantage of its location adjacent to the major consumer market of Edo, Tokyo, the brewery has pursued quality as well as quantity. Its flagship brand is "Rikishi." Its prowess has been proven by its four consecutive years of winning the gold medal at the National New Sake Tasting Competition until 2019, and the top prize in the aged sake category at the global IWC competition.
