Sommelier's comments
Aged ginjo sake. It is characterized by a sweet and gorgeous apricot-like aroma and a rich, voluminous alcohol aroma. The sweetness spreads softly in the mouth, with a subtle sourness. A subtle nutty aftertaste lingers.
Brewery: Kizakura
Founded in 1925 Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City
Known for its kappa character, Kizakura is actually a relatively young sake brewery. Taking advantage of its youth, Kizakura has developed products that are not bound by concepts, with "creative ideas" and "innovative actions." It brings to mind familiar products, but this is possible thanks to the high level of technology, which has led to the brewery winning numerous gold awards at tasting competitions.
