Takumi Sousei Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture, Representative Director: Yasumura Akihiko, hereinafter referred to as Takumi Sousei) entered four brands in the Aged Sake category of the Kura Master 2024 sake competition held in Paris, France, with "Kosoki no Biju 2007 San'in Togo" winning the Platinum Prize and three other brands, "Kosoki no Biju 1997 Josen Kikumori," " INISHIE Takumi No.1 Ryuriki Blend," and " INISHIE Takumi No.2 Maboroshi no Taki Blend," winning Gold Prizes.
The judges for this competition are food and beverage industry professionals, including chefs who hold the MOF , the highest qualification given by the French government to craftsmen, and top sommeliers from first-class hotels, and the judges focus on the historical French food culture of "food and drink compatibility." This year, 1,223 entries were submitted to six categories, including the Aged Sake category, and about 30 % * of the top entries were selected for Platinum and Gold Awards.
