Authentic potato shochu, raw liquor main ingredient: Golden Senkan, Koji: Rice malt, Alcohol content: 36%
Sommelier's comments
The raw material is carefully selected Kagoshima Prefecture's Golden Senkan. Shochu brewed in traditional earthenware jars is aged in earthenware jars inside a stone storehouse. The sweet aroma of fruit caramel tickles your nose, and you can taste the richness of the aged flavor.
Brewery: Kamishuzo
Founded in 1872 in Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture
Although it shares a border with Kumamoto, this brewery is proud to use ingredients from Kagoshima and produce authentic sweet potato shochu. It continues to uphold the tradition of brewing in Japanese jars, which it has used since the brewery's founding. Izumi City is also famous as a place where over 10,000 cranes fly in, hence the name "Chizuru."
