This rice shochu has an alcohol content of about 45% and is made by distilling sake under reduced pressure. It has a clean flavor derived from the rice, a rich, creamy taste, and a beautiful aroma and sweetness.

Morimoto brews rice shochu as well as sake in Iga, Mie, the land of Ise Jingu. They value local rice and are involved in the cultivation of it, and continue to make soft, rounded sake that matches the climate and food culture of Iga. The brand name "Okina" contains wishes for national peace, bountiful harvests, peace throughout the world, and happiness for all people.
