1987 Tanikoshi
Sake Main brewing raw material rice: Domestic rice polishing ratio 70%
Alcohol content: 21% barrel aging, bottle storage at room temperature
Sommelier's comment
It is characterized by the aroma of barrels and the sweet aroma of dried fruits. The sweetness and bitterness you feel when you put it in your mouth are just like a high-quality brandy. The aftertaste is long and smoky. A rare type of aged sake.
Brewed by: Shirakawa Meijo
Founded in 1850 Saigo Village, Fukushima Prefecture
Saigo Village, located at the northern foot of the Nasu Plateau, is a resort area with a strong image due to its imperial mansion, and is an environment suitable for sake brewing due to its rich nature. This 170-year-old brewery uses underground water from the Nasu Mountain Range and local rice grown in that water, and uses advanced pasteurization (flavor preservation) techniques to brew aromatic and full-bodied sake.
