Sommelier's comment
This is an aged sake that was a long-selling product for the local market before the switch to full production of pure rice sake. It is characterized by a clean acidity, with caramel and almond aromas, a smoky flavor, and the sweetness and aroma of tropical fruits. A mellow aged sake.
Brewing Company: Kikumori Sake Brewery
Founded in 1894 Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture
The label design and name of the brand ``Taxi Driver'' is quite unique and popular. The Tohoku region has a conservative image, but Kikumori has a different taste, and the individuality of the 5th generation brewer shines through. This time, we discovered old sake aged in this brewery. It's also fun to compare with new sake.
